Game Notes: (RV) EOU Football Visits MSUN in Havre

Full Game Notes vs. Montana State-Northern (Oct. 5)

LA GRANDE, Ore. –
The Eastern Oregon football team begins a two-game road trip at Montana State-Northern on Saturday, Oct. 6. Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m. Mountain time as EOU looks to win its second-straight.

GAME NOTES
• The Blue and Gold are coming off one of the most thrilling games in program history, defeating No. 22 Montana Western 54-51 in a triple overtime game. Senior Zach Lacey came away with the game-ending blocked field goal after kicker Nathan Harden gave EOU the lead.
  
• EOU holds an all-time record of 281-465-14 (.375). 2018 marks the 73rd-consecutive season in program history. EOU did not compete between 1942-45 due to World War II.   
 
• In 2017, EOU won the lone matchup with MSUN by a 41-12 score on Homecoming. The Mounties had six rushing touchdowns by five different players in the game, recording 235 yards on the ground and 450 total. The defense limited MSUN to 290 yards.
 
• The Mountaineers are 32-27 on the road all-time under Camp. They went 7-1 as the visiting team in 2016, but were 1-4 on the road a year ago. This season, they dropped a close 24-17 game to Montana Tech.
 
• The Mountaineers made their first trip to the NAIA Championships in 2016, reaching the semifinals.
 
• The Blue and Gold are 5-2 on the road against Montana State-Northern under head coach Tim Camp with a two-game winning streak.
 
• The Northern Lights began the season with a win, but have dropped four-straight Frontier Conference games, scoring a combined 33 points.
 
SERIES HISTORY
Sunday marks the 22nd meeting between EOU and Montana State Northern. The Mountaineers hold a 15-6 record against the Lights, which includes a four-game winning streak and 12 of the last 13.
 
MOUNTAINEERS BY THE NUMBERS
63       Head Coach Tim Camp is the all-time winningest coach in EOU football history with 63 wins.
 
265     Wide receiver Brenden Kelly had 265 receiving yards against Montana Western, the most in a single-game in program history.
 
4          Kicker Nathan Harden set the program record with 4 made field goals against Montana Western.
 
466     Quarterback Kai Quinn had a program record 466 passing yards against Montana Western.
 
4          Zackary Jacobs is fourth in the NAIA with 4 interceptions on the season.
 
12       The Mountaineers have won 12 of the last 13 matchups with MSUN, including a four-game winning streak.
 
10       EOU is now a perfect 10-0 under head coach Tim Camp when scoring at least 50 points.
