Notes: No. 11 EOU Visits I-84 Rival College of Idaho on Saturday

Full Game Notes at College of Idaho (Sept. 16)

LA GRANDE, Ore. -
The No. 11-ranked Eastern Oregon football team goes back on the road, visiting Frontier Conference and I-84 rival College of Idaho on Saturday in Caldwell, Idaho.
 
THE MATCHUP
The last time the Mountaineers and Yotes faced off, EOU came away with a big 48-14 victory in Caldwell to win their fourth straight game. The Blue and Gold had a punt return for a touchdown by Calvin Connors and an interception returned for a touchdown in the game.
 
The Mountaineers defeated No. 19-ranked Montana Western 27-24 on Sunday at Community Stadium. EOU rushed for a season-high 328 yards in the victory, led by 189 yards and three touchdowns by redshirt-freshman quarterback Kai Quinn.
 
The Mountaineers are 31-23 on the road all-time under Camp. They went 7-1 as the visiting team in 2016.
 
Quarterback Kai Quinn is sixth in the NAIA in rushing yards per game, averaging 142. He also ranks 10th in scoring per game (12.0).
 
The College of Idaho finished 4-7 overall and 4-6 in Frontier Conference play in 2016.
 
The Coyotes are 0-3 on the season and 0-2 in conference play. Last week against now No. 14-ranked Southern Oregon, C of I fell 41-25 in Ashland, Oregon.

SERIES HISTORY
The Mountaineers are just 12-27-1 all-time against the College of Idaho, but are 4-2 under head coach Tim Camp. In 2016, the two teams split a pair of games, with the road team winning both.
