Full Game Notes vs. Southern Oregon (Sept. 2)
LA GRANDE, Ore. - The No. 7 Eastern Oregon football team begins the 2017 campaign on Saturday, taking on in-state rival No. 25 Southern Oregon at 6 p.m. in Sherwood, Oregon.
Saturday's game was originally scheduled for a 6 p.m. start on Thursday. However, due to poor air quality in Ashland, Oregon, the game was postponed to Saturday and moved to Sherwood, Oregon.
THE MATCHUP
The Mountaineers and Raiders open the season against each other for the second-straight year, but this time at a neutral site at Sherwood High School. EOU defeated the No. 2 Raiders 45-40 in week one last season.

SERIES HISTORY
Saturday's contest marks the 73rd meeting between the two teams with Southern Oregon owning a 51-18-3 record against EOU. The Mountaineers have won the last two games against SOU.
