Notes: Mountaineers Return for Homecoming Against MSU-Northern

Full Game Notes vs. Montana-State Northern (Oct. 7)

LA GRANDE, Ore. –
The Eastern Oregon football team returns home after nearly a month away from Community Stadium, hosting Montana State-Northern for Homecoming on Saturday at 6 p.m.
 
GAME NOTES
EOU last fell 62-14 on the road at No. 5 Montana Tech. They enter Saturday's game after receiving the bye-week last weekend.
 
The Mountaineers are 27-20 at home all-time under Camp. They went 3-2 at Community Stadium in 2016 and are 1-0 to start the 2017 campaign.
 
Under Camp, EOU is 11-2 all-time against Montana State-Northern. The Mountaineers have won the last three games against the Lights and are undefeated (6-0) at home.
 
Junior kicker/punter Nathan Harden ranks tied for first in the NAIA as he has not missed a field goal this season on four attempts. He is also fourth in the country in average yards per attempt (44.30).
 
Senior defensive back Jorden Payne is sixth in the NAIA in passes defended per game at 2.0.

Montana State-Northern is 1-4 on the season and 0-4 in Frontier Conference play. The Lights picked up their first win of the season last week on the road at Mayville State, 43-29.
