Notes: EOU Welcomes Rival College of Idaho on Saturday

Full Game Notes vs. College of Idaho (Oct. 28)

LA GRANDE, Ore. –
The Mountaineers return to Community Stadium for Breast Cancer Awareness Weekend, hosting rival College of Idaho on Saturday at 1 p.m.
 
Fans can listen to the game on NewsTalk 103.1, while live video is available pay-per-view ($7.95) on EOUsports.com. As usual, Ken Kennedy (play-by-play) will be the voice of the Blue and Gold.
 
GAME NOTES
EOU dropped another close game at Montana Western in Dillon, Montana, falling 30-21. The Bulldogs scored 16-unanswered points in the third quarter to take the win. The Mountaineers led by scores of 7-0 and 14-7, but a late second quarter touchdown tied things up at halftime 14-14.
 
EOU holds an all-time record of 277-462-14 (.375). 2017 marks the 72nd-consecutive season in program history. EOU did not compete between 1942-45 due to World War II.
 
In the last matchup between rivals Eastern Oregon and College of Idaho, it was the Coyotes who came away with the upset over then No. 11-ranked EOU. The Mountaineers scored a late touchdown with 2:12 left to cut the deficit to one score, but could not put together a comeback for the second straight week.
 
The Mountaineers are 28-21 at home all-time under Camp. EOU is 2-1 this season at Community Stadium, defeating No. 19 Montana Western. Their lone loss came against No. 7 Southern Oregon 31-27 as the Mounties nearly came away with the upset.
 
Eastern Oregon is 2-1 at home under Camp when playing C of I at home.
 
The Coyotes began their season 0-3, but have since won three of five games including victories over EOU, Carroll and Montana Western. Last week, C of I dropped a road contest at Southern Oregon 36-7.

SERIES HISTORY
The Mountaineers are just 12-28-1 all-time against the College of Idaho, but are 4- under head coach Tim Camp. In 2016, the two teams split a pair of games, with the road team winning both.
