EOU'S LAST TIME OUT
EOU completed the season sweep over then-ranked No. 8 Southern Oregon with a 39-29 victory on Saturday at Raider Stadium. A balanced attack on both sides of the ball helped the Mountaineers dominate the time of possession, 50:38 to 24:17.

Senior quarterback Zach Bartlow threw for 184 yards and two touchdowns, while junior wide receiver Calvin Connors caught four passes for 94 yards and a score. Senior running back Alfred Gross paced EOU's ground attack with 71 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. Meanwhile, senior defensive back John Payne carded two key interceptions to keep Southern Oregon at bay.

The Blue and Gold led by as many as 22 points (36-14) in the third quarter after junior wide receiver Joshua Richards recovered a fumble for a tally. EOU's stingy defense forced six fumbles and registered nine pass breakups. The Mountaineers mustered a winning streak vs. the Raiders for the first time since 2006.

MONTANA WESTERN'S LAST TIME OUT
Montana Western rebounded from a loss to Montana Tech by defeating College of Idaho, 30-20, on Oct. 15 in Dillon, Mont. Both Sam Rutherford and Hunter Thomson posted rushing touchdowns in the first quarter, and Seth Mason drilled a 23-yarder to give the Bulldogs an early 17-0 lead. College of Idaho was just 5-for-16 in third-down conversions, and Montana Western snagged two interceptions to keep the Yotes at bay.

Thomson finished with 106 yards on 19 carries, while JD Ferris completed 14 passes for 236 yards and one touchdown. Matt Fuhrman directed Montana Western's air attack with 156 receiving yards on seven receptions. Defensively, TJ Benson paced the Bulldogs with 10 tackles (six solo), including 2.5 for loss.

The Bulldogs rank second in the Frontier Conference in scoring defense (20.9) but have given up a season-high 35 points twice (EOU, Montana Tech) during the 2016 campaign.
