No. 17
In the third edition of the NAIA Football Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the Eastern Oregon University Mountaineers climbed four spots, from No. 21 to No. 17. The Mountaineers are one of four teams in the Top 25; Carroll (No. 5), Southern Oregon (No. 7) and Rocky Mountain (No.18), from the Frontier Conference. College of Idaho is receiving votes. The fourth regular season edition of the Coaches' Poll comes out on Monday, Oct. 6.

Frontier and National Player of the Week
Junior, Marc David has been named the Frontier Conference and NAIA Football Special Teams Player of the Week, the Frontier Conference and the National Office announced. With three seconds on the clock and the game tied at 24-24, David lined up for a 30 yard field goal. David's kick went through the upright and Eastern Oregon defeated Rocky Mountain. David went 2-for-3 on field goals on the afternoon and was 1-for-1 on PAT's. He averaged 42.0 yards per punt.
 
Looking at the Yotes
The College of Idaho Yotes comes into the matchup with EOU with an overall record of 3-1 and 2-1 in Frontier Conference action.  Last week, the Yotes defeated Montana Tech, 41-25. On the season, College of Idaho is averaging 33.8 points per game, while allowing 35.8 points per game. The offense is averaging 455.5 yards per game, fourth best in the Frontier Conference. Junior, quarterback, Teejay Gordon leads the Yotes offense as he is averaging 131.5 on the ground and throwing for 190.5 per game.
 
Last Weekend
With three seconds on the clock and the game tied at 24-24, Marc David lined up for a 30 yard field goal. David's kick went through the upright and the No. 21 Eastern Oregon University football team defeated No. 10 Rocky Mountain, 27-24.Zach Bartlow led the Mountaineers on offense, as he was 24-of-40 for 220 yards and one touchdown. Bartlow led the Mountaineers on the ground with 91 yards. AJ Prom followed with 89 yards. Justin Hernandez recorded seven receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown, to lead EOU. The Mountaineers rushed for 260 yards on the game.

College of Idaho leads the all-time series against the Mountaineers. The Mountaineers are 8-26-1 against College of Idaho.
 
Last Time
The last time the Mountaineers faced College of Idaho was in 1977. The Mountaineers defeated College of Idaho, 16-7.
