This Weekend
This weekend, at Community Stadium is Military Appreciation Day. All military personal will receive free admission to the game and their family members will receive $3 dollar admission per person. 
 
Coaches' Top 25
For the first time in since the NAIA Football Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll was released the Mountaineers are not in the Top 25. The Mountaineers are still receiving votes as they came in with six points in the sixth edition of the Coaches' Top 25. The seventh edition of the NAIA Football  Coaches' Top 25 comes out on Oct. 27th.
 
Last Weekend
The Eastern Oregon University football team suffered their second straight defeat as the Mountaineers fell to the Montana Western Bulldogs, 34-28, on Saturday afternoon. The Mountaineers gave up 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to fall by six. Zach Bartlow led the Mountaineers as he went 22-for-30 for 251 yards and one touchdown. Jace Billingsley led the Mountaineers on the ground with 81 yards on seven carries. Justin Hernandez led the receiving core with 111 yards on seven receptions.
 
All-Time Verse MSU-Northern
The Mountaineers lead the all-time series against Montana State –Northern, 11-6.
 
Last Season Against MSU-Northern
Last season, the Mountaineers fell to Montana State –Northern, 45-27. The loss for EOU dropped the Mountaineers to 0-3 in the 2013 season. The Mountaineers struggled to get a ground game going last season as EOU rushed for 45 yards. The Lights controlled the game as they held the ball for 38 minutes and 22 seconds of offense in the contest.
 
Last Home Game
The Mountaineers last regular season home game is Saturday, Nov. 1 when they host Montana Tech. Eastern Oregon will close the regular season with two straight road contests.
 
Top 10
The Mountaineers have two individuals in the top ten for different statistical categories. Junior, Marc David is fifth in the NAIA for punting average as he is averaging 42.8 yards per punt. He has a long of 60 yards on the season. The other player in the top ten is Byron Benson, who is ranked ninth with four interceptions on the season.
 
Third Down Conversion
Eastern Oregon ranks fourth in the nation for third down conversions. EOU is converting 46.9 percent of their third downs. Morningside (Iowa) leads the nation as they have converted 56.3 percent of their third downs.
 
100 Yard Rusher
EOU is still looking for their first 100 yard rusher for a single game this season. Eastern Oregon's Zach Bartlow and AJ Prom were the closest as they both rushed for 91 yards apiece against Rocky Mountain College on Sept. 27.
 
Losing Streak
The Mountaineers are currently on a two game losing streak, after losses to Carroll, 55-7 and Montana Western, 34-28. This is the longest losing streak for the Mountaineers since they started out 0-4 last season.
 
What's on Deck
The Mountaineer return to Community Stadium on Nov. 1st for Senior Day when they host Montana Tech at 12 p.m. PT.
