Scouting MSU-Northern
Montana State-Northern enters the contest against EOU at 1-1 overall and 1-1 in the Frontier Conference. MSU-Northern is coming off a, 31-3, loss on Sept. 7. The Lights were defeated by Carroll (Mont.). The lone victory for The Lights this season came week one in a 14-0 victory over Dickinson State.
Last Meeting
Last season, MSU-Northern and EOU met during the second week of the season, on Sept. 8th. EOU came away with a 17-14 victory. Marc David gave the Mountaineers the victory by making a 37 yard field goal with 14 seconds left in the game. Eastern Oregon was outgained during the con¬test, 433-349.
Blackman Makes First Appearance
Junior Quarterback, Dominique Blackman made his first appearance in a Mountaineers uniform against Montana Tech. The transfer, recorded a team-high 98 passing yards on 14-of-30 passing. Blackman's first series came in the first quarter on the Mountaineers second position of the game. He took the team 80 yards on 12 plays in five minutes and 43 seconds for the first touchdown of the game.

Eastern Oregon is 0-2 this season. This is the first 0-2 start for the Moun¬taineers since 2010 when they opened up the season 0-3. The first win in 2010 came against Montana State-Northern, 50-46, at Community Sta¬dium. In 2010 the Mountaineers finished the season with a 5-6 record.
Last Time Out
On Sept. 7, EOU faced No. 7 Montana Tech and fell, 23-7. Chris McGinnis- Parker scored the lone touchdown for the Mountaineers. EOU took an early 7-0 lead after McGinnis-Parker scored on a six yard rush. He rushed for 104 yards on 18 attempts. After the EOU score, the Orediggers scored the next 23 points to take a, 23-7 victory.
Leading the Way
Chris McGinnis-Parker led the Mountaineers against Montana Tech. For the game, McGinnis-Parker rushed for 104 yard on 18 attempts. He also registered the longest rush of the game, a 37 yard rush from scrimmage. He scored his first touchdown of the season on the only scoring drive for the Mountaineers.
