Eastern Loses Close One to Orediggers

Eastern Oregon (2-4, 2-4 FC) dropped a close one to the Orediggers of Montana Tech, 13-10. The Mountaineer defense had a stellar effort after giving up 48 points to #1 ranked powerhouse Carroll College, holding Montana Tech to just thirteen points.

However, the offense was stifled by a tough Oredigger defense that was looking to redeem themselves after an opening season loss to the Mounties in which they fell behind 21-0 in the first quarter. Make sure to check in with the Eastern Oregon Athletics website for updated statistics and game information as it is made available.

The Mountaineers will now return home for their homecoming game against the Northern Lights of Montana State-Northern. The game is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. PST and could have very big implications in the Frontier Conference playoff picture. The Northern Lights are currently 5-1 in conference, while the Mounties are in a three-way tie for third place at 2-4 in conference.
