Willie Camp joined the Eastern Oregon University football staff in 2024 and currently serves as an assistant coach for the wide receivers and tight ends.
He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant before being promoted in summer 2025. In his first year on staff, Camp helped coached First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-American wide receiver Malachi Spurrier, along with All-Conference Honorable Mention tight end Tanner Sweek.
As a player for the Mountaineers, Camp was a reliable and respected tight end from 2019 to 2023. He appeared in 35 games, finishing with 32 receptions for 284 yards and 2 touchdowns, while also earning two Academic All-Conference honors and being recognized as an NAIA Champion of Character.
A native of La Grande, Oregon, Camp graduated from Pendleton High School in 2019. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Communications from EOU in 2023 and his Master’s in Education in 2025. He is the son of Janet and Tim Camp, the head coach of the Mounties.
