Faith Wayman was hired as one of Eastern Oregon University's Sports Information Directors in August 2025, bringing with her a strong background in athletic communications, digital media, and student-athlete engagement across various levels of collegiate athletics.
Before joining the Mountaineers, Wayman served as the Sports Information and Marketing Graduate Assistant at California Lutheran University, an NCAA Division III institution in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC). In that role, she managed Cal Lutheran's athletic website, wrote game recaps and features, and produced digital content across multiple platforms. She also operated game stats and live-streaming systems, supervised a team of student-workers, and supported media days and fan engagement initiatives.
Prior to her time at Cal Lutheran, Wayman completed a Sports Information internship at fellow Cascade Collegiate Conference member Bushnell University, where she supported game day operations, contributed to social media management, and created graphic and written content for the athletic department. A standout student-athlete during her time with the Beacons, she was a four-year member of the softball team, serving as the chaplain captain and ASA co-representative while also managing the program’s social media accounts. She was the team's Most Valuable Player and an All-Conference selection in 2023, and was a two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree.
Wayman holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology: Coaching and Athletic Administration from Bushnell ('24), graduating cum laude, and a master’s degree in Sport Management from Cal Lutheran ('25).
Dedicated to servant leadership and storytelling, she is passionate about highlighting the achievements of student-athletes and enhancing the visibility of collegiate athletic programs through strategic communication, branding, and community engagement.
