Dane attending EOU from 1975-1979 and was a standout defensive end for the Mountaineers. Dane was selected to the Evergreen All- Conference Team four straight years and to the NAIA District 2 first team twice. Dane received NAIA All-American Honorable Mention honors in 1977 and 1978 and All Little Northwest First Team in 1978. Dane was a four year starter for the Mountaineers.
