Williams attended and competed for Eastern Oregon University from 1992-1994 .Williams earned NAIA All-American honorable mention and was also a 1st team All- Conference player. Williams held the career assist record from 1994 to 2008 when it was broken by Jeremy Templeton. Williams was the team MVP and also captain while earning several conference player of the week honors and one national player of the week nod.
