Holliday competed for the Mountaineers from 1962-1966. In the fall of 1966 Chuck was drafted into the United States Army and served his country in Vietnam. While in the Army he wrestled and won the inter-service tournament in freestyle and was 2nd in Greco- Roman. He returned to EOU in 1969 as an Assistant wrestling coach and earned his degree in Science education in 1970.
While competing for Eastern Holliday achieved the following Individual honors:
4 time Conference Champion
4 time NAIA District I, II Champion
2 time NAIA District I, II Outstanding Wrestler
4 Time NAIA National Tournament Qualifier
Overall Record 118-8-1
Place finish at nationals 6th, 5th, 2nd
1964 Nationals quick- pin champion
