The 2003-04 women's basketball team included Cory Nelson Teckman, Jamie Jo Cant Haddock, Tricia Haddock Kelly, Sarah Smith Davis, Candice Davis, Michelle Kinley Morgan, Linzi Strohm, Christy Smith, Sandy Isbell, Ashley Jones, Christie Weaver and Brye Quatre. This team compiled a 26-3 record and was the first team in EOU history to win both the regular season and the conference tournament championships.
 
The 2003-04 women's basketball team was the first at EOU to make a trip to the NAIA Division II Women's Basketball National Championships. They ended the season as the No. 16th ranked team in the nation. This team won 19 straight contests and finished the season ranked first in scoring defense, scoring margin, field goal percentage, three point field goal percentage, and defensive rebounding for the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
 
The Mountaineers were led by Jamie Jo Cant Haddock and Tricia Haddock Kelly, who were First Team All-CCC selections. Head coach Anji Weissenfluh was named the CCC Coach of the Year. Not only was Tricia Haddock Kelly a First Team All-CCC selection she was a NAIA Third Team All-American.
 
During the 2003-04 season, Tricia Haddock Kelly broke the single season assist record, and still holds today at EOU. She also holds the all-time career assist record at EOU, dishing out 535 assists.
