The 1990-1991men’s cross country team was the first cross country teams to qualify for back to back National Championship meets. The 1990 team finished 15th at Nationals and the 1991 team finished 12th. Both years the team finished second at the NAIA All-District 2 meet. These teams served as the transitional teams between the founder of EOU Cross Country Gary Feasel and current head coach Ben Welch.
In 1991 all five scoring team members earned All-District honors. Members of the 1991 team includes: Mario Beaudion, Tony DeAugustine, Marty Doyle, Bruce Gray, Mike Murphy, Steve Padilla, Ben Sauvage, Deromot Shortall, Tim Vandervlugt, and Rich Wiebe.
