Eastern Oregon University Athletics

Coach Ivan Harshbarger took a group of 3 seniors, 6 Juniors, 2 sophomores, and 4 freshmen on a wild ride in 1969. While Participating in what was then the Oregon Collegiate Conference the team started the season on a 13-0 run. They finished the OCC with a 14-2 mark and a 1^st place conference title.

In post season action under the NAIA District format The team defeated Warner Pacific in the semifinals and lost a best of three series (2-1) to Linfield in the NAIA District 2 finals. Most of the team was stricken with the flu right before the last eight games of the season that happened to be played in a twelve day stretch.
