KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced on Friday afternoon that both junior Rachel Roelle and senior Kailey Wilson earned 2015 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition. The Mountaineers were two of 210 student-athletes on the list.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
While this is Roelle's first national award, this marks Wilson's second Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honor.
