LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon University Division of Athletics is welcoming fans to the next basketball games for free with a food donation in exchange for a ticket.
Mountaineer fans can attend Tuesday's women's basketball game against Warner University at 5:30 p.m. or the men's game on Dec. 10, against Lewis-Clark State College at 7 p.m., with a non-perishable food donation.
The local food bank is need of donations in time for the holidays and the EOU Division of Athleticsis participating in an emergency food drive. Bins will be available at the Warner University and Lewis-Clark State games, and in the athletic office in Quinn Coliseum through December 20. " We are glad to be happy to help our local community in a small way" stated Director of Athletics Rob Cashell. " I encourage our fans to come out and support our women's basketball team and at the same time support the Neighbor to Neighbor food pantry."
